RDJFA PARTICIPATION PLAN

 

The purpose of the below guidelines is to promote the health of our youth athletes, coaches and staff by providing recommendations for a safe return to sport and physical activity after the coronavirus pandemic. Our collective safety is our collective responsibility. Please take a moment to read this document, and commit to adhering the guidelines.

RD Junior Football Practice and Competition: All players, coaches, staff, spectators and other attendees must adhere to specifically required guidelines from the New Jersey Department of Health (NJ DOH Guidance for Sports Activities).

RD Junior Football Guidelines Prior to Practice or Competition:

  • Parents or guardians of players must sign a specific COVID waiver in order to complete the registration process. By signing the waiver they agree to hold River Dell Junior Football harmless in the event of illness.
  • Screen athletes, coaches, staff and any other participants with a temperature check prior to arrival at the field. Anybody showing symptoms of COVID19 shall not be permitted to participate (CDC Symptom Checklist).

Responsibilities of parents/guardians/players:

  • Do not come to practice or competition if you or any member of your household are not feeling well or are showing symptoms of COVID-19.
  • Do not come to practice or competition if you or any member of your household have been exposed to a person with COVID-19 within the past 14 days.
  • Do not come to practice or competition if you are not comfortable with the guidelines set forth by the NJ DOH, RD Junior Football, or the facility at which you are practicing/competing.
  • Adults 65 years and older or people of any age with serious underlying medical conditions are strongly encouraged not to attend practice or competition at this time.
  • Parents, please take the time to disinfect all player equipment prior to first practice, and after each practice.  That includes helmet, pads, gloves, water bottle, etc.
  • Please clearly label your player’s water bottle/container.
  • Please provide your player with a portable bottle of hand sanitizer or wipes that we will ask them to use prior to starting practice, and at the conclusion of practice.
  • Please make sure you are on time or early to practice to avoid any bottle necking.
  • Coaches will track all expected attendees via survey monkey and paper hand-in to document who was at each session
